About The Owner:
I, Stephanie, am the owner of Mop It Up and the company's lead housekeeper. My professional background is widely varied and encompasses all sorts of specialties, all of which have helped me to develop this company into the charming, fun, and excellent small business you see before you.
​
I am a single mom to a beautiful little boy. He is the main driving factor behind my desire to start this business. He is brilliant, sweet, and sensitive. Due to some neurological challenges, he is unable to attend regular public preschool and has had some difficulties acclimating to other peoples' homes and schedules, so our babysitters did not last long. I decided that it was important to his well being that I begin to fit my life around him, instead of expecting or hoping that he fit into mine. He deserves much better than that! So I spent all my money down to the literal last dime to get this business off the ground. It allows me to be home with him the majority of the time, while providing me the flexibility to focus on his needs and making sure that I can provide for the both of us.

Needless to say, my son and my business are very important to me. The integrity of my business is very important to me.

Speaking of things that are important to me: I am also an advocate of supporting local small businesses. Even before starting my own business had even crossed my mind, I have always gone out of my way to support them. I want all present and future clients to please let me know if you own or work for a small, local business so that we can support each other! I am always looking for new places to refer my friends, as well.

Jessica was born in North Carolina, but mostly raised in Florida and has been here permanently since 1999. Her favorite animal is a puppy and she has four tattoos, so far. Her favorite hobbies are reading, watching movies, cross stitching, and crocheting. Jessica's favorite color is dark red.
